International Data Corporation Korea Ltd. (hereinafter Korea IDC), an IT market analysis and consulting organization, announced today that it will hold a virtual event for IDC conferences: Financial Insights for domestic financial leaders on September 2 (Wednesday).

Korea IDC will invite domestic financial and IT experts as speakers to provide a variety of insights such as differentiated strategies and financial solutions of financial institutions to overcome the Corona Pandemic situation.

The event will include a total of five sessions, including a keynote and a live panel session. The opening keynote will be presented by Michael Aranetta, vice president of IDC Financial Insight Group, under the theme of Determined to Get There First: Major Challenges and Solutions Proposals for 2020 by Major Asian Financial Institutions.

Based on IDC's ongoing research, we share about 40 new solutions that major Asian financial institutions are using to overcome the crisis and how domestic financial companies can use these solutions to succeed in the Next Normal era.

Lee Tae-woo, managing director of IDC Korea, will hold a live panel session with Shinhan Bank's Kim Bong-gu, Celljang and Tipco Software's Lee Seok-jin under the theme of Super Personalization Service Strategy for Contextual Banking. Next, Kwon Sang-joon, director of Korea IDC, Um Tae-gyun, head of KEB Hana Bank, and Kim Sang-wook, director of Citrix, will discuss challenges and solutions from the technology, system and cultural perspectives facing domestic financial companies in order to transform them into digital organizations under the theme of 'Innovation into digital age, connection, communication and experience-driven financial organizations'.

In addition, through a panel session involving KB Kookmin Bank executive director Yoon Jin-soo and Shinhan Bank general manager Kim Chul-ki, with the theme of 'open data strategy of financial companies to cope with the post-corona era', the role and data utilization plan of financial company CDOs in financial environments requiring openness and scalability of data will be examined.
Lastly, IDC Lee Tae-woo, managing director of Korea IDC, will conduct a closing keynote under the theme Post Corona, Next Normal in the Domestic Financial Industry.
